Please note that the thesis must always include an abstract in the language of the thesis. If you complete the maturity test in a language other than the language of the thesis, you must also include a second abstract in the language of the maturity test.

The University of Helsinki offers degrees in Finnish, Swedish and English. Please note that in multilingual degree programmes, the degree language is not determined by the language in which you have primarily been taught or have completed your studies. So even if you have completed your studies in English, your degree language may be Finnish or Swedish. You can check in Sisu whether your degree language is "Finnish or Swedish" or "English" by following these steps: My Profile > Study Rights > Open details of your degree education > Show details > Degree language. As for the option "Finnish or Swedish," the final degree language is determined based on whether the degree includes more studies in Finnish or in Swedish.
