The Pursuit of Immortality – Join the Discussion at Think Corner on January 27th!
What influences the way we age, and how can aging be slowed according to current research? How far can the human lifespan be extended? What does our pursuit of youth and immortality reveal about our time? The secrets of a long life will be discussed at Think Corner on Tuesday, January 27th, from 5 PM to 6:30 PM.
Life expectancy has increased dramatically over the past century. Advances in medicine and technology have made health monitoring and optimization accessible to more people than ever before. At the same time, the super-rich are attempting to buy eternal youth by hiring researchers and turning to controversial methods such as blood transfusions.
The discussion features Professor of Aging Biology Pekka Katajisto and Postdoctoral Researcher Antti Lindfors from the University of Helsinki, as well as author and PhD in Philosophy Tiina Raevaara. The event will be hosted by the Journalist Alma Onali.
