FSHS: StressLess coaching group, Depression school, HealthStart questionnaire for First-year students and reschedule your appointment in advance

First-year student, please complete the HealthStart questionnaire in the Self online service
If you started completing your first degree at an institution of higher education in the spring semester 2026, you can now complete the HealthStart questionnaire in the Self online service. After completing the HealthStart questionnaire, you’ll receive feedback on your state of health and may be referred to health promotion services provided by the FSHS.
The health examination for first-year students begins with the HealthStart questionnaire, the aim of which is to help you and healthcare professionals check your health status and refer you to the appropriate services as early as possible at the beginning of your studies.

During the spring semester, the FSHS offers various group activities related to health and well-being. In a group you can get support for your health and life management.
StressLess coaching group
- A local group begins in Lahti on Wednesday 18 March 2026 9 am to 11 am.
Depression school
- A national remote group in English starts on Wednesday 25 Feb 2026 2 pm to 4 pm
Please note that our instructions for applying to groups depend on the group. More detailed instructions can be found on our website under the description of each group.
Reschedule or cancel your FSHS appointment at least 24 hours before the time of the appointment
If you can’t make it to your appointment, remember to reschedule or cancel it well in advance. This way FSHS can offer the appointment to another student.
If you miss your appointment or cancel it too late without an acceptable reason, you’ll be charged a fee for the unattended appointment. FSHS does not charge the fee if you reschedule or cancel your appointment at least 24 hours before the time of the original appointment. The fee for unattended appointments concerns all appointments and examinations both FSHS´s own service units and partner service units. This also applies to, for example, remote appointments, laboratory visits, vaccination appointments and group meetings.

FSHS services are available to you once you have registered as present for the spring semester at your higher education institution. Before contacting FSHS, please note that enrollment information will be transferred to FSHS from higher education institutions with a delay of approximately 1–3 days.
